Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
